Lunch at Corner House

Thanks to wife I got to celebrate my birthday with a lunch at the Corner House. The service is impeccable (including the buggy ride because of the rain) and food was splendid. There was also ample supply of soft, warm bread to provide the necessary calories. DSC00581_upload

SATS Premier Lounge

dsc09239_upload

I have to catch a flight at 9.20am and left home very early to avoid the jam to the airport. I would have grab a quick breakfast if not for a complimentary access to the lounge, blessing from the DBS Altitude card. This card came with a priority pass with two complimentary access to many lounges all over the world (see here). In fact, there are quite a few travel friendly credit cards that provide lounge access as well (see here). However, as far as I’m concern, I still prefer the Altitude over the rest because its annual fee can be waived if a minimum amount is charged to the card per year. At 25,000, it is quite doable if all the combined family expenses are charged to it. So the travel benefits and air miles really comes with no additional cost.

Anyway, here’s what I enjoyed for free.

Lunch at Indochine, Gardens by the Bay

With kids in school, my wife and I found time to have an early valentine’s day lunch at Indochine, Gardens by the Bay. There’s a minimum spending of $80 per pax but I wonder how the restaurant will enforce this.

Christmas dinner @ Azur, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport

This is my second time at Azur but the first time for Christmas dinner. But most surprising is seeing the sashimi and a quick check with NEA website provides the assurances.

Lunch at Café&Meal MUJI

DSC05444_upload

I thought MUJI was just a clothing store until I realised it had a Cafe as well. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw it was IKEA :). There were plenty of options to choose from as well (click the link for the menu).

DSC05446_upload

For high calories dependents, I need the 4-Deli set- basically rice with 4 side dishes.
