What a great way to celebrate a project closure with a nice sumptuous lunch =)

When I came across the food gallery of the restaurant, I had an impression it was to be a fine dining restaurant. So, when I had a chance to have a dim sum lunch there, I came prepared with a heavy breakfast, just in case the calories is insufficient for me… but I was to be proven wrong 🙂
Appetizer dates to start the lunch.
Let the lunch begin.
After this fried rice, I really really full. And when we waited surprisingly long for our fruit dessert, we found out why.
The fruits are ‘housed’ in a huge piece of ice and the rested on an entire plate of ice as well.
Overall, the food is really nice!

I have a lunch with my friend today. He is also a photography enthusiast, and thus we can take our own sweet time to take pictures, something we cannot do with ‘normal’ friends.
We ordered one bento set each for ourselves and another ala carte mushroom dish for sharing.
My sushi bento set.
Complete with my favorite cold noodles.
I didn’t manage to capture his entire set because the tempura and chawanmushi are too plain to be interesting.
Went with my colleagues for a Chinese New Year lunch at Miao Yi, a Chinese vegetarian restaurant. Due to the festive season, there are special dishes as well.
Mock suckling pig
Other than these, we ordered simple dishes as well.
Compared to Indian vegetarian, Chinese vegetarian is really meant for those who can tame their mouths, but not their mind. 戒口不戒心。
