As usual, its a yearly routine that I bring my family to see the lanterns at Gardens by the Bay during the Mid-Autumn festival. But before we saw the lanterns, we chanced upon some light show exhibit.
After the short distraction that trigger some unhappiness with my boy, we head for the lanterns :p
Unfortunately its too crowed (as expected) during the long weekend and we had to cut short our trip and head back.
A quick walk-around at the Funan Anime Matsuri 2016, the last such event held at Funan before it close for redevelopment.
ELY- Cosplay Meet & Greet
I had a belated birthday celebration for my wife at the Pelican. The food was great but the peaceful and quiet time together was even better🙂
Roasted pumpkin, japanese pumpkin salad with feta cheese
Crumbled bleu cobb, tomato, bacon, avocado, chopped egg
Baked salmon fillet, glazed peas and cucumber
Pelican burger, chopped steak, smoked ketchup, fries
Sweet potato cake, served with sweet potato cream
And after sending her back to office, I found some time to take advantage of the blue skies.
This is really ramen play, dip the noodles and drink up the soup later after filling it up with hot water.
I heard about the new exhibit at the Singapore Science Centre, Butterflies Up-Close and decided to come down and take a look.
There are really many species here and the unobservant me had a hard time identifying the butterflies. For those keen, here’s a chart I found there.
For the rest, just enjoy the butterflies🙂
I heard several good recommendations about The Line Restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel but never had a chance to try it till today.
First the seafood and cold dishes
Next, the meat.
The Indian section, my favorite.
Then the Laska
Finally, the desserts
Overall experience, food is food, spread is great but come at a cost.
I brought my family down today to take a look at the new buses.
I personally prefer the bus with both the staircase and exit at the rear, this will definitely encouraged passengers to go right to the back to free up room for people to board the bus.
There are really usb charging ports at every window seat.
There are many displays of old buses, including this that I’ve never taken before.
As well as this one which I do remember taking before when I was young. Its hot inside and when it rains, it’ll get more stuffy as well because all the windows have to be closed.
There are many miniature displays like these but unfortuantely, none are for sale. I son particularly liked the double decker bus from Toys”R”Us, but these were no longer in production.
While older folks like me can link up with the history, there are things for children as well.
