Was there for a birthday party. The food was supposedly to be Sichuan fusion though more like western with a tint of the former. The food presentation, lighting and ambience was great, though the taste and menu offerings could have been better.
All pictures taken with smartphones. Looks ok from the phone but quite lacking when blown up on my screen 😦
This is my 3rd time watching the performance but first time in peace as the kids are old enough to watch by themselves 😛
Thanks to wife I got to celebrate my birthday with a lunch at the Corner House. The service is impeccable (including the buggy ride because of the rain) and food was splendid. There was also ample supply of soft, warm bread to provide the necessary calories.
Nice ending with a cup of tea.
Supposed to be a belated Valentine’s lunch with my wife (purposely avoid the marked up Valentine set) but ended up with a marked up CNY 8-course set lunch. 🙂
Yes, this apple vinegar also count as one course 😛
This is named ”firecrackers”. Not that it look like one but its spicy enough to lit fire in our mouths.
Overall, this is the best vegetarian lunch we ever had and perhaps we are really getting old… we are still not hungry by 7pm. 🙂
Huayi 2018- Chinese Festival of Arts, held during the Chinese New Year festive period is a series of events not to be missed. The Revelry in Spring is a dance performance by the NUS Chinese Dance troupe. I am very impressed my the standard of performance!
Part of the free programmes at Huayi 2018, the Little Festive Roar allow the kids to have great fun at trying out the Lion Dance.
Queuing for the limited 20 little lion heads 🙂
Then action… by the little lions.
Another must go event with my family during Chinese New Year.
Finale with a better fireworks this year.
With all a very Happy Chinese Year and better year ahead. Huat ah!
