Supposed to be a belated Valentine’s lunch with my wife (purposely avoid the marked up Valentine set) but ended up with a marked up CNY 8-course set lunch. 🙂
Yes, this apple vinegar also count as one course 😛
This is named ”firecrackers”. Not that it look like one but its spicy enough to lit fire in our mouths.
Overall, this is the best vegetarian lunch we ever had and perhaps we are really getting old… we are still not hungry by 7pm. 🙂
It had been some time since I last had a peaceful meal with my wife without our lively kids around. I tried this vegetarian restaurant with my colleagues before and decided to introduce it to my wife. She love it and as for me… the quality is great but the quantity continues to disappoint me 🙂
The standard appetizer
Tropical fruit salad
Rosemary Breadsticks… something that I keep asking for to make up for the calories I need
Mediterranean Vegetable Skewers
Wild Mushroom Charcoal Tagliatelle

Went with my colleagues for a Chinese New Year lunch at Miao Yi, a Chinese vegetarian restaurant. Due to the festive season, there are special dishes as well.
Mock suckling pig
Other than these, we ordered simple dishes as well.
Compared to Indian vegetarian, Chinese vegetarian is really meant for those who can tame their mouths, but not their mind. 戒口不戒心。
