Lunch at Sakuraya

Had a great lunch at Sakuraya, Anchorpoint. There was a 50% for salmon sashimi.

and we end up had more than that. I cannot imagine eating just salmon sashimi just for lunch.

Birdz of Play, Jurong Bird Park

Today, I brought my family to the Jurong Bird Park, not to see the birds, but to the water playground. Yes, the playground is more interesting… to the young children. I had noticed the playground from my previous trips to the bird park to photograph the birds and after preliminary recce, found it very suitable for wet water play, more on this in a moment.

There are actually at least 3 such water playground in Singapore, one in the bird park, named Birdz of Play; one at the zoo, named Rainforest Kidzworld and another at Sentosa, named Port of Lost Wonder. Common to all three, is the giant bucket that will fill up with water and empty its contents in a spectacular downpour.

Beside this, there are other dry playgrounds as well.

And here’s the best part for parents, cleaning up children is very easy and comfortable, there is clean shower area…

I was aware of another water playground at the NEX shopping mall. But having found this water sanctuary, I am not keen to try it out.
